Well, not brand new, but new to me (I think the term is no longer used, but preowned). Over the years as I think about it, I’ve driven a lot of different vehicles:
Ford Maverick (my first car)
Ford Fairmont
Ford Mustang
Nissan Maxima (two styles of this one)
Toyota Camry
Honda Civic
Chevy Impala
and have come to the point that it’s all just transportation. Yes, the features, color, style, appearance are all nice, but the end result is the same, getting you from point A to point B – some do it a little better than others
. I went to Randall Reed Ford in Spring looking to get a Ford Fusion. I had chosen that one because I rent cars for travel a lot and I’ve always like the features of this car. When I got there the Customer Service sucked (but that is for another blog post) and I was about to leave until I saw a friend of mine and fellow Church member that worked there. When I told him what I was looking for and what i wanted to spend, he showed me another option for what was surprisingly less than what i was going to pay and in my opinion a better car. So I ended up getting it. what did I end up with?

it’s a 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6. I checked out a lot of the reviews on it and people have been really impressed with it and with the features and handling. Now when I saw it, I told myself “a Cadillac?????” but after driving it, I was impressed. The ride is smooth and it actually gets great gas mileage (and since I drive a lot, this was a big deal for me). I’ve never been big on features – all I ever need in a car is automatic transmission, AM/FM Radio and CD, and good, cold AC. Anything else is cool, but just extras. I’ve been happy with it so far and will probably keep it for a while…

on this next shot, I was testing out a new wide angle lens and I liked the look – you can see a few scratches on the fender, but I’ll probably get those painted out:
