Houston Venue of the Week – Hilton Houston North

As a wedding photographer in Houston, I am amazed at the number of beautiful locations and venues in the city that are available for your wedding ceremony or wedding reception.  This week, I’m looking at the Hilton Houston North.  This Hotel is in the Greenspoint area and used to be known as the Wyndham Greenspoint.  Hilton purchased it and remodeled it and it looks great!  There are several large banquet rooms on the main floor and several smaller sized rooms on the 2nd floor with a view of the main lobby.  I shot a wedding recently in the Donatello Ballroom and the big windows and natural lighting really show the place off.

There is also an area in front of the ballroom with plenty of space for your guests if you wanted to hold a cocktail reception while the guests wait for you to arrive,  There is also plenty of space inside the ballroom and a very nice sized dance floor.  the staff is very attentive and the food served at the wedding I attended was excellent.  Parking is free in the Hotel garage and you can visit their web site for more information:

Lovely Chapel Dulcinea Wedding

I love working with those that are serving or were once active Military.  I have a great respect for those that chose to sacrifice to allow me the freedoms I enjoy.  I had the honor of shooting a wedding for a lovely couple, Heather and MJ.  They are from Houston, but chose to have their wedding at a lovely location in Austin, Texas (in the hill country) called Chapel Dulcinea.  It is a lovely open air wedding chapel with a fantastic view.  It is ideal for small, intimate wedding ceremonies, especially weddings at sunset with the romantic gas lights and the lovely sunset colors.

There is a changing room available for the bride so she doesn’t have to arrive dressed.  There are several lovely locations around Chapel Dulcinea to shoot as well so that once the ceremony is completed, you can get some fantastic bridal portraits or portraits of the bride and groom.  I love the traditional bell ringing part of the ceremony as well.

Alma’s Bridal Session

So I had the honor of shooting another wonder bridal session in Houston (aren’t they all wonderful :) ).  This one was actually in Sugarland at the Oyster Creek Park and we shot it a few weeks before her wedding (I will post some wedding pictures soon).  Alma has the prettiest smile and her personality showed in every picture!  Here are a few of “our favorites”
